Engineering Leader

We are looking for a hands-on engineering leader with strong Java skills and, ideally, mobile development experience (iOS & Android). You’re a self-starter and motivated to lead the way, and strong team player with excellent communication skills, strong analytical and problem solving skills, commitment to software quality and great attention to detail.

This is a rare opportunity to lead all technical development for our growing team!

The position:

• Lead all internal technical development and team members
• Collaborate with Product team and other functions to ensure design vision is maintained and deliverables are completed on time
• Build and support scalable, growing live system
• Handle high-load event flow
• Optimize performance
• Handle multiple project requirements and make appropriate technical decisions
• Participate in product life by using devices you build software for

Ideal skills:

• Strong Java experience, 5+ years
• JEE, Hibernate, Spring, MySQL
• iOS and Android development experience (or strong familiarity)
• Strong knowledge of the Javascript language
• Strong competency in CSS and semantic mark-up
• Experience coding server-side page generation
• Proven experience working on highly scalable, database-backed web applications
• Understanding business value of features
• Product ownership, independence, wide vision
• Passion for usability and accessibility
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Strong command of cross-browser development techniques and browser degradation strategies (PC/MAC, IE, FF, Chrome, Safari)
• Strong CS fundamentals (algorithms, data structures)
• Ability to debug and troubleshooting across multiple browsers
• A sense of humor, can-do attitude, and a passion for jumping in wherever your help is needed.

Customer Operations Intern

We are looking for a passionate customer operations intern that can help with Sqord’s onsite product and customer needs.

The Position

Assist in a wide range of on-site customer and product projects, including QA testing of Sqord’s products and software, assisting with customer focus groups, upgrading out-of-date hardware, assisting with the shipment of online orders, and other tasks.

This is a part-time position, paying $10 to $15 an hour depending on your experience, with a schedule that can be flexible depending on your availability.
